"... this superb concert performance, with... the Concert Chorale of New York, may have offered listeners more insights into the music than a full production would have." Strauss's Daphne, Cleveland Orchestra, Anthony Tommasini, New York Times, July 2015
"...thanks to some powerful work from the Concert Chorale of New York, the overall journey toward a crashing climax had plenty of dramatic heft." Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, LA Philharmonic at David Geffen Hall, Seth Colter Walls, New York Times, 2018
"...the Concert Chorale of New York...transformed in seconds from stentorian force to gauzy meekness in the Domine Jesu..." Mozart's Requiem, Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, Zachary Woolfe, New York Times, August 2014
The Concert Chorale of New York performed this summer at Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival (Louis Langree, conductor) in Bernstein's Mass and Mozart's Requiem. In recent years, Lincoln Center audiences have enjoyed them in Stravinsky's Les Noces, in the Danny Elfman Music of Tim Burton Films concert (televised on PBS), and under Louis Langree's direction of Haydn's Creation at Lincoln Center. CCNY also performed the New York premiere of Paul McCartney's Ecce Cor Meum at Carnegie Hall, and The Death of Klinghoffer by the composer John Adams. The group provides choral support for live performance, CD's and movie soundtracks, and varies in size to accommodate performance requirements.
